King Emilio
King Emilio has been one of the most significant and personal projects I've worked on over the last nine months during my spare time. It started as a way to deepen my skills in Look Development, particularly focusing on shading, grooming, and lighting. I used this opportunity to explore complex materials, push the stylization of fur using XGen, and refine my lighting workflow to create a compelling character presentation.
The project is based on an original concept by @rapahango 🗿, whose designs have always inspired me with their charm and personality.
Midway through development, I experienced a personal loss—my dog passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack. That moment forced me to pause everything. Finishing King Emilio became more than a technical challenge; it turned into a kind of emotional therapy, a space to reconnect with creativity and find peace through art.
This project holds a special meaning for me. Not just because of the time and care poured into every detail, but because it helped me move forward, one render at a time.
